Ancient trees

I took this photo in the “Avenue of the Giants” in Humboldt Redwoods State Park. I especially like the black and white aspect depicting these magnificent trees.

Bristlecone pine

Carved by Time

I took this photo many years ago but am still very fond of it. The texture of this section of Bristlecone pine just lent itself to printing too. The oldest tree on earth, it grows in the High Sierras.
